How does Agenda1 work?

Churches become part of the Agenda1 family by joining a Learning Community that is designed to help leaders build missional churches. Twice a year, each church sends a team of 3-5 of their core leaders to gatherings that last for 2-3 days. The first phase of the LC lasts two years. Then churches are invited to continue for two more years and to start their own LC’s.

The LC gatherings consist of short teachings, team assignments and then sharing of insights between the teams. We spend time building relationships with each other and seeking the Lord through prayer, worship and ministry. Ate the end of the gathering, each team makes an action plan and shares this with the others. Between the gatherings, each team will be followed up to provide support and accountability.

The teachings focus on discipleship, missional life, missional leadership and missional fellowship. We teach principles and tools that help us to equip and multiply disciples so that they can be secure in their identity and live their lives in such a way as to lead others to Christ and transform their culture.

The «secret sauce»

Agenda1 is much more than a collaborative process tool. It is defined by several cultures that give it its unique flavor, the «secret sauce».

We aim to establish a family culture where everyone belongs. There are no teachers and students; everyone is an expert in their own context. There are no competitors, but co-workers on a mission together to make disciples of all nations. Having the same Father and the same mission creates unity. It creates family. We celebrate each other, challenge each other and pray for each other.

We seek and expect to experience the presence of God. We prioritize worship, prayer and sharing the Word of God. We gather with the expectation that the Holy Spirit will lead us and empower us to do the will of the Father so that his kingdom will come on earth as in heaven. We want to be part of what God is doing in this world.
